In the spring of 2024 I had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I spent 4 months here living with a host family, attending classes at the local university and working an internship at an outpatient mental health facility. Below is a brief reflection of my some of my favorite moments in Santiago de Compostela:
Cooking and hosting a traditional Galician dinner with my host mother, where we prepared local dishes and welcomed all of my friends to enjoy.
Visiting the cathedral each day to watch pilgrims finish their Caminos and experience the emotion and sense of accomplishment as they reached the end of their journey.
Walking the Camino de Santiago with our group from Clemson, enjoying the hike and the time spent together along the way.

While I was abroad I had the amazing opportunity to complete an internship with the Associacion Iterna. Learn more about that here.
