As we gather information through an interview with Ms. Rechelle M. Manguiat, HR VP of Global Mode Manpower Services, we have learned something new especially to the actual industry of human resource and not only information from the syllabus. For example, as a student we just know that one goal of a company is to be a leading company in their field which is very basic and common but the Global Mode Manpower Services, their goal is to be the top of the mind which actually makes more sense. We also realized that some of what we learned in the Human Resource Management course is actually applied in the industry. Like aligning the goals of HR with the goals of the company. Keeping the good employees by giving them motivation and keeping them motivated. They also practice the flexible sourcing strategies, in their recruitment process where they do the modern and traditional way of sourcing. The role of HR really plays a big part in the overall performance of the company. We also learned that we, as future employees, must not set our expectations so high because in the real world it is difficult to achieve those expectations we had. In addition to our reflection, we gain an understanding of what it really feels to do the SWOT analysis, especially in identifying the strengths. Strengths of the companies are not the basic thing or something they really do, it is their uniqueness and something special that makes them stand out among the rest.
Our conversation with Ms. Rechelle M. Manguiat has been an eye-opening experience, offering us a deeper understanding of the practical applications of human resource management in the real world. It has shown us that HR is not just about policies and procedures but is a key driver in the growth and success of a company. These lessons will undoubtedly shape our approach to HR as we move forward in our careers.
