Welcome to 8th Grade Social Studies!

This is my 11th year teaching U.S. History and my 8th year here at Aledo Middle School. We are doing some exciting things in Social Studies this year, including a project as part of the National History Day Competition and writing an essay to enter in the Daughters of the American Revolution Contest. Both of these opportunities push the students academically and allow for the students to take ownership in their learning.

I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth with a B.S. in History with Secondary Education Certification. I was fortunate to play on the women's basketball team at TWU. Go Rams! My husband, Tyler, and I have two daughters, Emerson and Everly. Emerson is four and Everly just turned two!

I'm excited to share my passion for history with you! We are going to have a great year!
