Research Interests:

My research interests focus on the taxonomy and diversity of ferns and lycophytes, particularly those found in the southern Philippines. While I have a broad interest in pteridophyte diversity and biology, my current research has led me to become particularly fascinated with the critically endangered Philippine endemic Isoetes philippinensis. I am especially interested in understanding its reproductive biology and early development, which I am currently exploring in Professor Kao’s laboratory, with the ultimate goal of contributing to its conservation.
