Beth A. Fabrizio recently retired after 36 years as a public school educator. She most recently taught in The Hilton Central School District in New York as a director of bands at Village Elementary School. Fabrizio maintains a private clarinet studio with numerous students pursuing careers in music education, music business, therapy, recording, and performance. She performed as the principal clarinetist and personnel manager with The Greater Rochester Music Educators Wind Ensemble and former Eb clarinetist with The Perinton Concert Band. Fabrizio is a freelance performer and an active artist/clinician. She also presents educational clinics and workshops through Fabrizio’s Musical Concepts.
Fabrizio has conducted various honor bands and given master classes and clinics across the United States, Europe, Japan, and Malaysia. She has taught marching bands and drum and bugle corps for over 40 years. Fabrizio has been the brass caption head with The Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps; brass coordinator with The Pride of Soka from Tokyo, Japan; and brass staff with the Boston Crusaders, The Glassmen, and Spirit of Atlanta. Fabrizio adjudicates for Bands of America, Drum Corps International, Winter Guard International, and numerous other state associations. She is honored to be the founder and charter member of the newly formed Chi chapter of Phi Beta Mu and was inducted in May of 2022.
Fabrizio holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from the Eastman School of Music. She also holds a Master of Music degree in Conducting, Education, and Performance from Ithaca College. Fabrizio has studied conducting with Rodney Winther and Dr. Donald Hunsberger and clarinet with Michael Webster, Richard Waller, Stanley Hasty, William Osseck, and Carmine Campione. She has also performed in master classes with Richard Stoltzman.
KJ Stafford is a full-time music arranger, educator, adjudicator and consultant with over 20 years of experience teaching, writing and designing for band programs, drum corps and percussion ensembles throughout the United States. Ensembles performing his music include champions, medalists and finalists at national and regional championships in Winter Guard International, Bands of America, and other performing arts circuits. K.J. is also an active adjudicator for Winter Guard International.
K.J. has been involved with Drum Corps International for over two decades. He currently serves as the Assistant Percussion Caption Head for the Santa Clara Vanguard. Since joining the staff in 2011, Vanguard has earned five Fred Sanford Awards for Best Percussion: 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 as well as the DCI World Championship in 2018. Beginning with the 2024 season, K.J. joined the design team of the Madison Scouts as the Music Supervisor. Prior to working with Vanguard and the Madison Scouts organizations, K.J. also taught on the percussion staff of the Phantom Regiment (2010 DCI High Percussion Champions) and the Troopers (2007-2009).
From 2006-2022, KJ was the band director and music department chair at Hickory Middle School in Chesapeake, Virginia. Under his direction, the bands at Hickory Middle School consistently received superior ratings at state concert band festivals and were selected to perform at the Virginia Music Educators State Conference.
K.J. earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia K.J. proudly endorses Innovative Percussion, Remo Drumheads, SABIAN Cymbals and Pearl Drums.
Steven Page - Paducah, KY
Active as an adjudicator since 2002 for DCI & BOA, Steven Page has judged marching band, drum corps, concert band, indoor drum line, indoor winds, and choir at over two-hundred events in twenty-nine states and provinces in the US, Canada, and Colombia. These events include eleven DCI Championships (both Open and World Class), eight BOA Regional Championships, and State Championships in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, and Mississippi. Having taught music in Kentucky since 1999, Steven Page also teaches band and choir in Paducah, Kentucky at Paducah Middle School. Steven and his wife, Shana, met in high school and have been married for 23 years. God has blessed them with seven boys and a girl.
A native of Carrollton, Georgia, Jonathan is currently an active national adjudicator and small business owner in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. Before opening his business in 2017, he was director and visual designer of the indoor and outdoor percussion ensembles at Dorman High School, leading it to competitive success at numerous local, regional, and national events. Notable examples include making the WGI World Championships finals, and winning the CIPA Open Class Championships every year from 2006 to 2016. In 2016, Jonathan served as Percussion Caption Head for the Spirit Of Atlanta drum and bugle corps. 2013 - 2017 Jonathan helped create Civitas Independent from Rock Hill, South Carolina, who took 4th place at the WGI World Championships, before moving to Open class and becoming a perennial finalist powerhouse. Before moving to South Carolina, Jonathan lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he was founder and director of 3-time WGI medalist Velocity Percussion Ensemble, and taught Dalton high school, Soddy-Daisy high school, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s marching percussion ensembles. Jonathan has also taught and written for numerous other ensembles - including Spirit Of Atlanta drum and bugle corps, Magic Of Orlando drum and bugle corps, Scenic City drum and bugle corps, West Georgia College, as well as numerous Georgia, Tennessee, North, and South Carolina high school bands. A former marching member of Spirit, Jonathan is proud to have performed on bass drum and snare drum from 1992-1995, before joining the percussion staff in 1996, and 2016. Jonathan currently resides in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
From Seattle, WA, Nick has been teaching, designing and consulting for award-winning marching programs all across the United States for the past 20 years, specializing in movement training, drill/staging, choreography and program coordination/consultation.
Nick is currently the Program Coordinator/Visual Designer for the Kamiak H.S. Marching Band and Winter Percussion from Mukilteo, WA, a position he has held since 2008. He is also the program coordinator for the Seattle Cascades drum corps.
Upon relocating to the Portland metro-area in 2004, Nick held the visual caption head position for the Division III Champions and Open Class Finalist Oregon Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps (2004-2006, 2008-2009), and the Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps (2007).
Mr. Benson was the Visual Caption Head for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps from 2008-2012, helping them reach DCI Finalist status for the first time in 23 years in 2009. He also held the position of Visual Designer for the 2011 Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps. Nick was also the Artistic Director and Visual Designer of the Seattle Cascades Drum Corps from 2013-2019.
In 2009, Nick had the opportunity to travel to Thailand in the role as the Visual Caption Head for the Siamyth Drum & Bugle Corps in Bangkok, Thailand.
As a performer, Mr. Benson got his start with the Cascade High School Marching Band and later marched with the Seattle Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps (1998, 2001).
While attending the University of Washington and Western Washington University, Nick studied Music and English and performed with numerous music ensembles as a trombone, euphonium and tuba player. In 2003 he had the opportunity to perform with the Concord Blue Devils, capturing their 11th DCI World Championship.
Alongside Adam Oswald and Dylan Thompson, Nick Benson has co-authored a marching and movement program built for marching bands and drum corps alike. Its objective was to create a cohesive and holistic approach to movement and marching, both from an individual and ensemble standpoint.
Nick currently lives in Bothell, WA with his wife, Andrea, his two sons, Sullivan and Foster, and their cat, Lilah.
Tim Hudnall has 40+ years of experience in design and instruction in marching band/winter guard programming. Hudnall’s marching band adjudication includes multiple circuits across the country, and he is currently affiliated with several marching band and winter guard judging associations. He is currently on the rosters as an adjudicator for Bands of America (BOA), Winter Guard International (WGI), and Drum Corps International (DCI).
With a varied teaching past, Hudnall has been the director, program coordinator, and/or consultant for several programs in Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee. His groups have been finalists at WGI regionals, semi-finalists at WGI World Championships, and medalists in multiple winter guard circuits in the Southeast. His marching band clients have been involved in various local, state, and national competitions and are regular participants in BOA Championships as well as BOA Regional finalists.
Hudnall is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry and a Master of Science degree in Public Health. He was a member of the “Big Red Marching Band” as a trumpet and color guard performer and a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity.
Currently, Hudnall and his wife Anne reside in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he works as a Physician Assistant at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
