Meet The Counselor

This is my twelfth year as the School Counselor at Pheasant Point Elementary.  Prior to counseling, I spent 7 years teaching at Fort Zumwalt's Ostmann Elementary.  I taught 2nd grade for five years and 4th grade for two years.  I received my Bachelor's Degree from Missouri State University in Elementary Education in 2005. Soon after starting my career as a teacher, I realized my true passion was in helping students with social/emotional learning and character development.  In 2010 I received my Master's Degree in School Counseling from Lindenwood University.

My husband and I met in college and are big fans of the MSU Bears!  We have two girl cubs of our own (Sixth Grade and Freshman...wow, that has flown by).  When we are not at school, we enjoy traveling, camping, swimming, riding bikes, reading, playing games, and snuggling on the couch!  We have two dogs and a bunny rabbit that we love to spoil, too.

I love being a mom...and I love what I do, but juggling it all isn't always easy.  I enjoy helping families through real life situations that pop up in the day to day world of families with elementary school children.  I cannot promise to fix every problem, but I do promise you don't have to face them alone.
