Who?
FWES PTA is working with Literati for the first time in 2025.
What?
Book fairs bring the books kids want to read right into our school and help get students excited about reading! It also provides funds and new books for our library and classrooms. We will have a fantastic selection of books for all ages and grade levels. Every class visits the book fair twice: first to view and make a wish list, then again later in the week to purchase books.
PTA also runs a program called Bear Paws, allowing teachers to identify students in need of reading materials at home. These students get to purchase a book of their choice, paid for by the PTA.
Why?
Our goal for the book fair is to foster a love of reading, while giving back to FWES. 25% of all sales go directly to the Inquiry Center, for Ms. Zaccardi to use as needed. She is updating the collection and keeping books that our students want to read on the shelves.
You can buy books online until November 21. Books will be delivered to school during or shortly after the fair.

How?
Can you help? We need volunteers to help students make wish lists, organize books, and work as cashiers. All volunteers must be approved volunteers through WCPSS (https://www.wcpss.net/volunteer). Sign up will be available soon.
Can you shop in-person? There will be two family nights for the fall book fair, on Tuesday November 18 and Thursday November 20. Students can shop during the day at the time selected by their teachers.
Can you shop from home? An online store is available from October 20 - November 21.
Can you pay? Cash or checks made payable to FWES PTA. Credit cards will be accepted on the family nights. Students can also use Literati gift cards to pay during buying days.
Can you donate? Teachers complete wish lists of books needed for their classrooms. Look for the board at the book fair!
More questions? Please email bookfair@fwespta.org with questions.
Gift cards are a safe payment method for students to use at the book fair. Gift cards can be looked up, and used as a way for payments.
They also make great individual gifts and general donations, so students, teachers, and librarians can add new favorite books to their shelves!
