Leadership Education is taught each week. The material covers both an academic study of leadership (LE) as well as a practical application of leadership. Each year the academic material rotates just as the Aerospace Science material does. Students will have the ability to demonstrate the qualities of self discipline, integrity, excellence, attention to detail, team work, etc... These skills are tested during their academic studies and hands on activities such as their uniform inspections each Wednesday. The JROTC program is designed to provide cadets the opportunity to take on a leadership roles and apply their trade while leading the other cadets. The program is a cadet led course providing them an environment to experiment and grow as leaders. They are truly student leaders in our school. In turn, they will also demonstrate these skills while learning drill (marching) and ceremonies. Drill is a cumulative development of their skills and is demonstrated by all cadets.
To assist our students in their drill and ceremonies skill set I have attached the USAF Drill Manual that governs how they perform the material they will be taught in class.
In addition, there is an uniform inspection sheet to show what their uniform inspection will consist of each week. Cadets wear the uniform every Wednesday in JROTC and must be inspected for a grade. Any cadet unable to wear the uniform on Wednesday or absent must wear the uniform the next day they return to school.
