We would like to welcome you and your child to the Wayne High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) program. The mission of AFJROTC program is to “Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their community and nation.” The program is not a military recruiting program and in no way obligates students to pursue a military career after high school. Students enrolled in the program are taught about Aerospace Science and provided the opportunity to learn about history of air power, aerodynamics, space, and cultural studies. Students are also provided instruction on Leadership and learn leadership principles, health and wellness, life skills, intercommunication skills, and the principles of management. Every student in AFJROTC learns the importance of making timely as well as educated decisions when establishing post high school goals.
The links above will provide you access to various resources like our upcoming events, class syllabus, and our cadet guide. As the year progresses we will be adding material to the site to increase your access to our program and the exciting things going on in JROTC. For instance, each month our cadets will develop and release their own newsletter. The newsletters will also be loaded under Course Resources. We can't wait to welcome you and our students to a fun packed school year.
In addition, we will also be posting any news media releases that include our cadet corps. Our cadets achieve many great things each year and at times are publicly recognized. When this happens we will certainly share this information both on this web page and on our newsletter.
