Fort Worth Country Day '26
Twin B (NICU patient)
My name is Sloane Factor and I am a senior in high school at Fort Worth Country Day. I am taking spring Capstone and am researching neonatal care. I was drawn to capstone because I want to be a nurse in the future and thought I could learn more basics. I was a NICU patient myself and wanted to know more about the diagnoses and the ethical process through each drastically different condition. I will major in nursing next year, and I’m especially interested in neonatal care. This project helped me understand both medical complexity and ethical responsibility in caring for newborns. The capstone goals I succeeded: I turned my passion into an academic experience, prepared myself to apply my education to the real world, and readied me in interest for my school of choice by enhancing the area of study/interest.
My Experience
