Dear Warm Springs Families,
I am thrilled to share a wonderful celebration of service from our Wolf Pack! Thank you for supporting our Kids Against Hunger fundraising and community service event. Today, our students packed meals and truly loved the experience of serving others. There was so much pride, teamwork, and joy in the gym as they worked together for such an important cause. A big shout-out to Ms. Wong for coordinating this event for our entire community and making it such a meaningful experience for our students. Thank you as well to all of the volunteers who gave their time and energy, and to our families for the generous donations that helped make this day possible. We even exceeded our goal by over $4,000! Your support and generosity bring our values to life and show our students what it looks like to care for others in real and lasting ways.
Happy Lunar New Year! We send our best wishes to all who celebrate, and we are hopeful that the Year of the Horse brings our community good fortune, health, and happiness. Thank you to our amazing PTA for organizing the Lion Dance assembly later this month!
February is also Black History Month. Throughout the month, Warm Springs will be recognizing and celebrating the contributions and achievements of African Americans and honoring their central role in U.S. history. We encourage families to continue this learning at home through conversations, books, and shared reflections.
Finally, on behalf of the entire Warm Springs staff, thank you to our parents/guardians, families, and students. Together, we have successfully navigated the first 100 days of the school year, and we are grateful every day for the support of our Warm Springs community. With our continued focus on academic, social-emotional, physical, behavioral, and character growth, it is truly a joy to watch our students move forward and thrive, because of all of you.
In partnership,
Scott Iwata

“If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”
Congratulations to Joshua Y. from room 25 on winning the 2026 Warm Springs Spelling Bee! He will be representing Warm Springs in the Regional Qualifier Spelling Bee. Good luck Joshua!
Congratulations also to our Spelling Bee Runner Up, Aadya A. from room 32 and to all of the Classroom Spelling Bee Winners! Great job Wolves!
On Monday, February 2nd, you received an email from our District Office via InformedK12 from Greg Bailey. The email provided the link to complete a Residency Verification form. The purpose of this form is to prove your residency of where you currently reside and to let the District know what your plans are for the next school year. This form is mandatory and must be completed by Friday, February 27th in order to preserve your student's seat in Fremont Unified School District. If you have not received this form, please check your "spam folders" as sometimes bulk mail will be sent directly to these folders.
Spring Picture Day is Monday, March 2nd. All students will be photographed. After picture day, all students who took pictures will receive a proof sheet that will give parents/guardians access to order their picture.
Horner will be hosting a Parent Night on April 30, 2026 for current 5th graders who will be attending Horner Middle School next school year. This event is for parents/guardians only as students will receive video information at our school site at the end of March. See flyer for more information.
Please make sure to visit Mrs. Browns webpage for all Counselor related information.
The results are here!!
Our PTA Valentine's Bake Off was a great success all thanks to our wonderful students who participated, showcasing their talent & creativity. The competition was very close and immensely hard for teachers to judge, as all participants did a wonderful job!
We had 6 teachers who judged the desserts, and gave points out of 5, in 3 categories- Creativity, Appearance & Taste.
Students got a total score out of 15. The desserts were numbered to keep student information anonymous for our judges.
Winners -
1st place: Anika A., 4th grade
2nd place: (i) Samaira N., 4th grade.
(ii) Advik G., 3rd grade
3rd place: (i) Myra G., 5th grade
(ii) Ovee M., 4th grade
Big Congratulations to our amazing students!
We will distribute the prizes sometime next week.
As a reminder, students are not to be dropped off at school until 7:45am, if they will be having breakfast on campus. If they are not having breakfast, students are not allowed to be dropped off until 7:55am. This policy is for the safety of your student since there is no supervision prior to these times.
Drivers, please do not exit your vehicle while using the valet. If your student will need assistance getting in or out of the vehicle, please park across the street so you can assist them. Student backpacks, lunch bags, etc. should be with them and not in the trunk of the vehicle. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our valet system moving smoothly.
Please refer to this slide deck that was sent out in the beginning of the year regarding our pick up and drop off procedures in the valet.
In order to preserve valuable instruction time, please make appointments for your student before or after school hours when possible. Not only are they missing instruction time but it is also disruptive to the rest of the class when the teacher is interrupted by your student's early dismissal. However, if you need to pick up your student, please be mindful of the bell schedule. Once all of the students are dismissed for recess or lunch, it is unsafe to have one of our supervisors leave their area unsupervised to find a student that is being picked up. For the safety of all of our students, please pick your student up either before or after the recess or lunch periods. Be sure to inform your teacher and bring an ID when checking out your student. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please remember that we do not forward parent/guardian messages to students during the school day as this disrupts instruction. Horner Middle School, also follows this same protocol. As a reminder we also have a "No Drop Off" policy except for medication and glasses. We do not accept homework, projects, lunches, water bottles, etc. We will provide a free lunch if needed and have a filtered water station on campus. Thank you for helping your students learn to be responsible and accountable.
