Walters Counselors will be visiting feeder elementary schools between March 2-12 to share info about Walters!
Band Elective
Band Elective
Incoming 6th grade students have the option to opt out of their wheel classes in order to enroll in a year-long Band elective. If your student is interested in band, please complete the form below. Please note that space is limited. Please see below for more information!

Current 7th graders:
On Feb 6, students will receive registration forms. Completed forms should be turned in to their history teachers by 2/12.
February 12- 18, counselors will visit 7th grade history classes to help students register for 8th grade classes
Current 6th Graders:
On Feb 12, students will recieve registration forms. Completed forms should be turned in to science teachers by 2/19.
February 19 - 27, counselors will visit 6th grade science classes to help students register for 7th grade classes
Students entering 7th grade must provide proof of receipt of the Tdap booster and two Varicella vaccines no later than August 7, 2026. Students who do not submit proof by this date will be excluded from attending the first day of school.
Immunization records may be emailed to our school registrar at jestrella@fusdk12.net, or a paper copy may be dropped off at the school office.

WMS welcomes all incoming 6th graders and guardians to our first Welcome to Walters Night! Come to campus for presentations for both parents and students to learn more about middle school, meet fellow parents, visit classrooms and get your questions answered to help your child prepare for middle school.

WEB 6th Grade Orientation: Incoming 6th Grade students are invited to join us for a welcome event! During the event, students will learn about Walters and get a school tour led by our 8th Grade WEB Leaders.

Incoming 7th & 8th Graders have the option to select a band or choir class as their elective when registering for courses.
Incoming 6th Graders have the option to opt out of the 6th Grade Wheel class to take band. Incoming 6th graders who would like to do so will need to complete the band interest form above to let us know. Please keep in mind that space is limited!
