Sora Reading App

Sora is a free, secure digital reading app designed for K-12 students to borrow ebooks, audiobooks, and read-alongs from their school library. 

• Students can find the Sora App on the waffle menu in their district Google account

• Developed by OverDrive, it allows students to access, read, or listen to age-appropriate content on devices like phones, tablets, or computers, featuring tools for in-app notes, definitions, and offline reading.  

• Easy Access: Students log in with school credentials to access curated, age-appropriate content. 

• Audiobooks & Ebooks:  The app offers a wide range of digital formats, including read-alongs, magazines, and graphic novels

• Public Library Connection: Users can add their local public library to the app to borrow more titles. 

• Offline Access: Books can be downloaded to read or listen to without Wi-Fi.

• Educational Tools: Features include built-in dictionaries, highlighting, note-taking, and options for dyslexic fonts.

• Gamification: Students can earn badges and achievements to encourage reading.

• Personalization: Users can adjust text size, font, and lighting.
