Fremont Unified uses a Standards Based Grading scale for grades TK-5. Students will earn a score between 1-4 on their report cards. Below is a explanation of the scores:

4 - Exceeding standards; student shows a deep understanding of content

3 - Meeting standards; student is completing work that meets grade level expectations (Our goal is to aim for 3s!)

2 - Approaching standards; student has shown growth in the content area, but may need some support to complete work

1 - Not meeting standards; student is not able to complete work or does not understand the content without constant teacher support
