Hello students and families!

I am so excited for the fantastic year we have ahead of us in 5th grade. To help you get to know me a little better, here are a few things I’d like to share.

I graduated from Sonoma State University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I recently completed my Master's in Educational Leadership at Cal State East Bay, where I also earned my Administrative Credential. My thesis focused on teacher-student relationships and how they shape the classroom environment - something I’m deeply passionate about.

This is my eighth year at Brookvale, and I truly love being part of this school community. We have incredible students, families, and staff, and I feel lucky to be here!

I was born and raised in San Jose, California, and I still live there with my husband and our cat. I absolutely love working at Brookvale - even if the commute can be long sometimes, it’s worth it!

In fifth grade, students build on the foundational skills from fourth grade. They'll dive deeper into texts and grow as critical thinkers. My goal is to help your child develop the academic and personal skills they’ll need to succeed in middle school and beyond. This year, we’ll be placing a strong focus on accountability and responsibility.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy baking, reading, traveling, crafting, playing with my cat, and spending time with friends and family.

I look forward to an amazing year together!
