Homework Help
Most nights, students will have a math book page assigned for homework. They should also be reading 20 to 30 minutes each night--at least 5 minutes out loud. Math homework, when assigned, is due the next day. All assignments should be recorded daily in the student agenda.
If your child forgot their math homework, the homework book is posted in Google Classroom.
Absent Work
Sometimes, we have to miss school. That's okay! If your child is sick, the most important thing is that they rest and recover. Please report all absences to the office by calling (510) 797-1135. You can also contact Ms. Angie by email: amyee@fusdk12.net. In addition, guardians can message me on ParentSquare, if you'd like. If they're feeling up to it, students can complete a few things at home to keep up with us while they're out.
Check the weekly overview to see what topics were covered in class (posted below)
Log on to Google Classroom with your student FUSD account. There, you will find links to your math book, math video lessons, your Benchmark magazine, and all Benchmark packets.
For math:
Review the video for that day's lesson. Print and complete the math book pages for that day, or do the work on a piece of plain or lined paper. Complete the homework page.
For ELA:
Read, or reread, the story we are working on for the week. The text is available through Clever or is posted by Unit in Google Classroom.
Use the daily activity calendar posted to do a few activities related to this week's lessons and learning targets
You can also work on pages from the pink (grammar and spelling) or yellow (close reading) packets that are posted, if you know what pages you are supposed to complete. If not, don't worry!
For Social Studies:
You can access your social studies texts through Clever. If it is a social studies day, read through the next section and complete the notes page.
