About Me

Hello!  My name is Janine Montiel and I am your Library Media Technician here at Centerville Middle School.  23/24 was my first year, and I was fortunate to be able to Open our New Library!  There have been a number of challenges to get the Library in the state it is now and I am proud of its current status.  I have many ideas and I am very exited to see the set up of the Library continue to improve in the future.  

Prior to Centerville, I worked 2 years at Azeveda Elementary Library.   While brief, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and it helped me gain understanding in the necessary books preferred for a Middle School Library.

I love reading books as well as reading about books.  I try my best to add recent publications with many positive reviews, the award winners, and student requests of course, with the Middle Grade Audience in mind.  I enjoy making book displays related to current events or monthly themes (Woman's History, Hispanic Heritage, etc).  I enjoy running contests too!  This year has been a true adventure and it's only just the beginning.  :-)
