This site has been created to support students study of, "the history of California from the pre-Spanish Indian past to the present. Specific focus will be upon the geographic, economic, social, intellectual, and political development of California from Spanish colonial times to the present, including the Mexican period, Gold Rush, the railroad era, Great Depression, World War II, the 1960’s, and the high-tech era." It is an active work in progress and additional resources will be added as they are discovered by students, teachers, and librarians.
