Army Reserve Programs

High School diploma or equivalent, and must satisfy college admission requirements.Must maintain a "C" average in college. For information, contact your local Army Reserve Recruiter. Montgomery GI Bill benefits: With a 3-6 yr commitment to the Army Reserve, earn $11,412 from the Montgomery GI Bill toward higher education expenses. If you qualify, you can also earn the "Kicker": Score 50 and above on the ASVAB, and accept a critical skill position in theArmy Reserve, and earn up to $20,000 for student loan repayment. Service member does not have to have current student loans to take advantage of the program. Army Reserve Education Career Stabilization Enlist in the Army Reserve for 6 years. Guaranteed not to deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan for up to 48 months, but could be deployed elsewhere with Presidential authority.Taking advantage of this program for 2 years may qualify you for a $10,000 enlistment bonus, $20,000 Student Loan Repayment Program, and the Montgomery GI Bill kicker ($350 per month).Many other programs are available for job opportunities, bonuses, and retirement savings.

Army ROTC Nursing Scholarship

Must be US citizen Age:17 by Oct. 1st Physically fit and pass a military physical examination, ACT score of 19 or SAT score of 920 or higher. Must be making sufficient academic progress towards a degree.

ASU Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship

Must submit an application by December 1st of their senior year. Targeted primarily to students interested in pursuing engineering & scientific/technical degrees. (Any degree is eligible). You will be able to attend any Central Arizona Community College for lower-level classes or one of the following universities: Grand Canyon University, DeVry Institute of Technology, Wayland Baptist University, Webster University Park, and University of Phoenix. Opportunity to pursue 27 different career options in the Air Force. Learn leadership skills in a college/military environment. Must pass a Dept. of Defense Medical Exam Review (physical exam). US citizen test. Ages 17 or older at time of scholarship activation. Attain an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher. Good moral character (security clearance involves a detailed background check). Get paid up to $500 per month while attending college IN ADDITION to your scholarship. Full-tuition scholarship for 4 years and $900 per year for books. Must have a qualifying score on the physical fitness high school diploma or equivalent. Score a minimum of 1100 on the SAT or 24 on the ACT. Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Air Force on Active Duty."In College Scholarships" are available once registered in the AFROTC program.

ASU Air Force ROTC Nursing Program

Earn a nursing degree from ASU or Grand Canyon University while enrolled in ROTC at ASU. Must be a US citizen. Must be pursuing a nursing major and accepted into a nursing program (Can't apply while still in high school). Be in good health. Pass a Department of Defense Medical Evaluation Review Board physical. Be of good moral character. Satisfactorily meet height/weight standards and be able to pass the Air Force Physical Fitness Test. Pass the Air Force Officer's Qualifications Test. Have at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average. Get paid up to $500 per month while attending college IN ADDITION TO your scholarship. Full-tuition scholarship for 3 years and $900 per year for books. Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Air Force on Active Duty.

Earn a nursing degree from Grand Canyon University while enrolled in ROTC at ASU. US citizen AGE: 17 years of age by 1 October of the calendar year your scholarship begins ACT score of 19 or SAT score of 920 or higher. Be in good health. Pass a Department of Defense Medical Evaluation Review Board physical. Be of good moral character (satisfactorily explain any record of arrest and/or civil conviction). Not when you apply, but before you actually receive your approved scholarship benefits,you must meet height/weight standards and be able to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test. Included as part of scholarship. Fees for Nursing equipment also covered. Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army) Get paid up to $500 per month while attending college IN ADDITION TO your scholarship. Full tuition scholarship for 4 years and $1200 per year for books. Room and board at GCU (National Guard).

Montgomery G.I. Bill

Enlist in the Military (any active branch) for a minimum of 2 years, earn at least $38,628 toward higher education expenses. Enlist in the Military (any active branch) for a minimum of 3 years, earn $47,556 toward higher education expenses. High School diploma or equivalent, and must satisfy college admission requirements. Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC)

The NROTC Scholarship Program offers students the opportunity to earn their degree and receive valuable leadership and management skills while enjoying the benefits of an exciting career. The basic requirements and benefits of this outstanding program are listed below: 1. Selected applicants receive:Full tuition and other financial benefits worth up to $180,000. NROTC Units are located at over 150 of the nation's leading colleges and universities. $250-$400 a month tax-free spending money.Basic eligibility requirements: U.S. Citizen. At least 17 years of age and not older than 23 by June 30th of the year you start college. Complete high school/equivalent certificate Take the ACT or SAT test prior to deadline and receive at least the minimum scores listed below: ACT: Math = 21; English = 22 SAT: Math = 520; Verbal = 530. May apply for one of these options: NAVY MARINES NURSE CORPS (must major in a nursing degree program leading to a BSN) Normal course load required for degree. Enroll in two Naval Science Courses per year. Complete the following courses: *Calculus, *Physics, *Computer Science (1 term), *National Security Policy/U.S. Military Affairs, English Grammar and Composition. (*=Not required for Nurse ROTC). US Air Force Academy

To be eligible to enter the US Air Force Academy, you must be: A citizen of the United States. Unmarried with no dependents. Of good moral character. At least 17, but less than 23 years of age by July 1 of the year you would enter. Of high leadership, academic, physical and medical standards. You must have a social security number to open an admissions file. You must submit your entire scholastic record from secondary school, as well as High school students must submit their current rank in class, if known and we need a high school activities record outlining your performance in extracurricular or other activities that indicate leadership potential. You must use your name as it appears on your birth certificate on all official records unless the Admissions Office has received legal evidence authorizing a name change.Physical and other eligibility requirements apply. US Coast Guard Academy

You are eligible to apply for the Coast Guard Academy if you are: U.S. citizen. Sound moral character. Unmarried with no dependents or financial debt.17-22 years of age on July 1 of the year of entry. A high school graduate or GED recipient (or will be prior to entry).If you are not a U.S. citizen, you may want to consider applying to be an International Cadet. US Merchant Marine Academy

To be eligible to enter the Academy, you must: Be at least 17 years of age and must not have passed your 25th birthday before July 1 in the year of entrance. Be a citizen of the United States either by birth or naturalization, except for a limited number of international midshipmen specially authorized by Congress. Meet the physical, security and character requirements necessary for appointment as U.S. Naval Reserve, Merchant Marine Reserve midshipmen.Obtain a Congressional nomination to the Academy. US Military Academy at West Point

To become a cadet you must meet the requirements specified by public law and must be qualified academically, physically and medically. Each candidate must also obtain a nomination from a member of Congress or from the Department of the Army in one of the service connected categories described below.
