First Aid, CPR, and AED Training

Sudden cardiac arrest claims the lives of thousands of people every year. In the United States alone over 300,000 people require First Aid assistance and CPR because they are suffering a cardiac arrest. Lifeguard Certification

At the American Red Cross, lifeguarding and water safety courses are available year round – from trained professionals who can help you gain the skills and confidence necessary for providing care and instruction when it's needed most.  American Red Cross lifeguarding and water safety students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class, and pass a pre-course swimming skills test prior to taking the course.

Babysitting Classes

American Red Cross babysitting classes are designed to work with your schedule. With select classes available online, and others available in person at a wide range of locations and times, it's easier than ever to learn new skills, gain valuable insights and information – and get your babysitting business started the right way. 

Home Health Aide

Home health aides are considered health care paraprofessionals and must meet state-set training requirements. They assist with the activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, moving from one place to another, toileting and cleaning up afterward. 

Personal Care Assistant

Also known as Caregivers, Personal Care Assistants assist elderly, recovering, or disabled clients to perform routine activities. Their duties include providing mobility support, assisting with personal hygiene, and performing household chores. 

Certified Nursing Assistant

A certified nursing assistant helps patients with direct health care needs, often under the supervision of a nurse. ... CNAs work directly with patients and nurses, helping with the many physical and complex tasks for patient care. Some of their responsibilities include: Turning or moving patients.
