Abstract: The CareerFair.ai and MentorStudio Spark Session will introduce the rationale, approach, and applications of the CareerFair.ai project: an NDEP-funded effort that applies AI-based virtual agent technology to scale up mentoring by real-life STEM professionals. This session will present information from post-secondary needs analysis and will feature live demos of two components of the CareerFair.ai project: the student-facing experience of talking with virtual mentors and the MentorStudio process for a mentor recording their virtual counterpart. Finally, the session will present current and potential use cases for this AI approach to expand access to career mentoring. Bring your laptop!
