Plan to take the PSAT in October if would like. It is a great way to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship and introduce yourself to a broader range of colleges. To learn more about the PSAT and prepare yourself for the test, please go here.
PLEASE NOTE: Many schools will continue to be test optional through your application cycle. If you are uncomfortable with testing and do not feel it will add value to your application, then do not take it. So, keep up with your studies, challenge yourself when picking classes for your senior year, and hone your writing skills this year.
As you develop your college list, be sure to talk to your parents or guardians about how much they are willing to contribute to the cost of your education and how much they are expecting you to finance.
