Dear San Onofre School Community,

I am delighted to share some wonderful news with you. After a rigorous selection process, Allison Gunzelman has been selected as the new Assistant Principal of San Onofre School!

Many of you already know Ms. Gunzelman through her outstanding work as our Instructional Coach since fall 2021, where she has supported both teachers and students in creating meaningful learning experiences. Before that, she taught at San Onofre and La Paloma, where she built strong connections with students, families, and staff across several grade levels.

Ms. Gunzelman’s years of teaching and coaching here at San Onofre make her the perfect fit for this important leadership role. She knows our school community well and is dedicated to supporting our shared goal of helping every student thrive.

Her interim appointment will begin Tuesday, September 2, with her official start as Assistant Principal following board approval on September 12. We are excited to see the positive impact she will continue to make as we move forward together.
