Meet with a recruiter from each branch you’re interested in. The recruiter can help you explore your options so you can make a decision. 

• Apply! 

Apply for the branch you are interested in enlisting in. Applying is not a commitment to serve.

• Take the ASVAB test, if needed.

Schedule with the recruiter to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test to measure your strengths and potential for success.  

• Explore career options. 

Once your ASVAB results are available, explore career options with your school counselor and recruiter. 

• Finalize your decision.

 Decide on the military branch you plan to commit to. Verify you meet all eligibility criteria with the recruiter. Find out the steps to commit. 

• Notify your school counselor of your decision.
