Our Early College Cohort provides targeted supports to students as they work toward earning the Indiana College Core (ICC), a set of 30 general education college credits that helps students begin college ahead of schedule and reduce future costs. Through dual credit coursework and targeted guidance, students build strong academic habits and college readiness.
Students receive added support through a dedicated CCR period with other Early College Cohort students and a trained teacher, regular grade monitoring, freshman, sophomore, and junior cohort classes, and more.
Students are invited to apply based on junior high academic performance, reading level, testing data, and citizenship.
More info can be found here.
Students may also earn the Indiana College Core (ICC) without participating in the Early College Cohort. The ICC is a 30-credit-hour block of transferable general education courses that can be applied toward a wide range of college majors at Indiana public institutions, helping students save both time and tuition costs.
While these students do not receive the added supports of the cohort model, they still benefit from the opportunity to graduate high school with significant college credit already completed.
