HARMONIC ANALYSIS ON LIE GROUPS AND RELATED TOPICS

Postponed Colloquium

... at Beit Al-Hikma - Carthage

IN HONOR OF

Mohamed Salah KHALGUI

Pierre TORASSO

PURPOSE OF THE COLLOQUIUM

Harmonic analysis on Lie groups is a major field in mathematics. It maintains relations with differential and algebraic geometry, index theory, number theory and probability theory. Numerous applications exist :

  • in physics using quantum field theory for particle theory and Poisson geometry,

  • in mechanics using Hamiltonian theories.

The colloquium purpose is to gather researchers working in several really active direction of this topic or related ones and to make them interact. These directions are :

  • Representations theory on reductive or general Lie groups and branching problems,

  • Lie algebra and invariant theory,

  • Kac-Moody groups and algebra,

  • Poisson geometry.

Many experts of this field coming from several countries will ensure the conferences.
