6/3/25 - Steve presented a poster at ASMS in Baltimore about modifications to a residual gas analyzer which let it detect atmospheric VOC's with part-per-trillion levels of sensitivity.
1/20/25 - Our paper describing Cara's work to revamp the Wisconsin Oscillator is published in JASMS. Congratulations Cara!
10/2/24 - We have received word that our ACS PRF proposal was recommended for funding! Work will begin this summer on characterizing the gas-phase and micro-solvated electronic structure of anionic photoredox catalysts.
7/30/24 - The Kregel Group participated in the Bradley Summer Research Poster Session. Congrats to Jacob, Eric, Matthew, and KC who all presented their work.
6/10/24 - Summer research is in full swing. This year we have Matthew, KC, Eric, Jacob, and Grace working on various projects in the lab. Here's to a productive summer!
6/6/24 - Steve presents a poster at the 2024 ASMS conference on our efforts to integrate the Wisconsin Oscillator into a standard size vacuum flange. Keep an eye out for the forthcoming paper!
4/10/24 - Chris presents his poster about our 3D printed photoreactors at the Bradley University Student Scholarship Expo. This is a collaborative project with Dr. Shawn Montag to implement photochemistry into the undergraduate organic laboratory courses at BU. Congrats Chris!
3/20/24 - The laser has arrived from Lithuania! Its fully functional out of the box, and will enable us to take electron photodetachment spectra from 410-2300nm. Stay tuned for more excitement coming soon!
January 2024 - Matthew and Gigi join the Kregel group for the spring semester. Welcome!
11/30/23 - The LTQ mass spectrometer has arrived and is ready to be installed! Time to start making the ions slated as the initial electron photo-detachment targets.
10/12/23 - Chris wins funding from the Sherry Endowment to help him construct a photo-reactor platform for generating molecular anions. Congratulations Chris!
9/5/23 - The Kregel Group has our first students. Welcome to Gabe, Cara, and Chris! We're excited to see what you bring to the group!
8/31/23 - Dr. Kregel made a trip up to Madison, WI to gather up some equipment and bring it back to Bradley. The lab is starting to look like things are happening!
8/14/23 - Dr. Kregel arrives at Bradley University, and the Kregel research group is founded.
