Our Fort Smallwood Elementary School (FSES) PTA is excited to welcome back our awesome students, teachers, and staff and we wish everyone a wonderful school year!
PTA’s mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children at Fort Smallwood Elementary School.
Collaboration: We will work in partnership with a wide array of individuals and organizations to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.
Commitment: We are dedicated to children’s educational success, health, and well-being through strong family and community engagement, while remaining accountable to the principles upon which our association was founded.
Diversity: We acknowledge the potential of everyone without regard, including but not limited to: age, culture, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, legal status, marital status, mental ability, national origin, organizational position, parental status, physical ability, political philosophy, race, religion, sexual orientation, and work experience.
Respect: We value the individual contributions of members, employees, volunteers, and partners as we work collaboratively to achieve our association’s goals.
Accountability: All members, employees, volunteers, and partners have a shared responsibility to align their efforts toward the achievement of our association’s strategic initiatives.
Our PTA believes that we are better together - and that together we can make every child’s potential a reality. But, we need believers like YOU. We need YOU. Join us and FSES PTA your way to support our Fort community!
Did you know that by simply joining the PTA, you’re helping our school unlock essential funding? Your membership fee plays a crucial role in determining our budget from the county, and it supports programs, resources, and events that benefit our students and staff.
Joining doesn’t mean you’re signing up for endless volunteer hours (unless you want to, of course!). We love having active participants, but just by becoming a member, you're already making a huge impact.
So, whether you can volunteer or not, we need YOU to join and help us reach our membership goals. It’s quick, easy, and incredibly important.

Please note that you need to link your VIC card to our school code, 7548, each school year. Linking your card is easy and can be done in two ways:
1. In Store: Give the cashier our code, 7548, along with your VIC card at checkout. Your card will be linked for the entire school year.
2. Online: Visit https://www.harristeeter.com, sign in to your profile, and add our school to your account. Once linked, you can earn funds for FSES through your HT Plus Membership!
This program does not affect your VIC savings or cost you any additional money. Thank you for your support!
Clean your closets & raise money for Fort Smallwood Teachers!
Support our school by donating used clothing, shoes, and household linens through the FSES Clothing to Cash program! Every donation raises funds which go directly toward supporting our teachers with morale-boosting activities and resources.
How?!
Anyone can donate, and items can be dropped off at any time!
Collect as many bags of unwanted clothing, shoes, towels, textiles, etc. as possible. Tie bags closed and place in the white bin.
FSES will earn money for each pound of items collected!
Look for the big white bin by the dumpsters!
