iPad supports learners through a touch-optimized interface and system-wide support for many assistive features like text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and support for vision enhancements. iPad supports accessibility on a needs basis.
Blended Learning environments offer students creative ways to discover and show their thinking, while building skills for collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and citizenship.
An app request is (presumably) the result of some prior assessment of need, and a discovery process to find value in a resource to address that need. Rarely will a successful implementation occur without those prior steps. We can support the growth of blended learning environments by situating the app request process within our professional growth conversations.
To help one another benefit from these processes, we encourage professional learning and advancing practices through professional conversation. Common starting points and check-ins help us track growth over time. We need to bring this approach as we develop common 'pathways' to around Blended Learning. Our growth will occur more quickly and capacity to support as these pathways become systemic.
