Age-based content restrictions are now in effect for YouTube. These restrictions limit content that students can view when logged in with their FSD accounts. Learn more: Age-restricted content.
To prepare for these changes, Teachers need to verify that their shared instructional videos on YouTube are still viewable by students. Staff will not have age-based content restrictions.
The easiest way to see whether your videos are still viewable is to visit your YouTube channel > Uploads page. If videos are labelled as 'Made for kids' (in Restrictions category), then the content will be viewable by students. Use the edit tools to add this rating (see Audience'). Playlists of videos from other YouTube publishers may also be affected by the age-based restrictions. You will need to review your playlists to see if any content has been affected.
