READING is EVERYWHERE!

OVERALL EXPECTATIONS:

  • You will be respectful.

  • You will be responsible.

  • You will be cooperative.

  • You will be kind.

  • You will comply with the school rules and the classroom rules.

  • You will try.

  • You will READ everyday.

REMEMBER: 15 minutes of reading = 1 line signed on your Reading Log.

  • You will learn. ☺

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:

  • ARRIVE on time.

  • BE PREPARED. Take out your supplies right away (textbook, pens and pencils, paper, leisure reading book, notebook, iPad, etc.).

  • WORK independently. TRY to figure out what you don’t know PRIOR to asking.

  • REFER to information in the classroom. Help yourself. Use your notes, your textbook, the ASL dictionaries, the teacher-made Writing Guidelines, the Internet, and reference books.

  • ASK questions. ANSWER questions.

  • HELP each other.

  • Make the best use of OUR time together.

NEW RULES DUE TO COVID-19:

  • Enter the classroom with your mask on.

  • When you enter the classroom, take out your materials. (planner, 3-ring binder, textbook, iPad, homework, and pencil).

  • Place your backpack under your desk.

  • Put up your clear plastic divider on your desk.

  • Log into your iPad.

  • Attendance will be taken.

  • Stay in your seat. Remember to distance from others.**

IF YOU'RE HOME LEARNING:

  • Follow your class schedule.

  • Show up to TEAMs on time.

  • Dress appropriately.

  • Sit at a table.

  • Check Google Classroom.

  • Ask for help. Use the green 'help' card we sent you.

  • Follow all of the school rules even though you're home.

DRAGON DOLLARS AND TEAM POINTS:

  • You will have the opportunity to earn Dragon Dollars. At the end of each quarter, you will have the opportunity to use the dollars to buy yourself some goodies. At the end-of-the-year, you will use them to bid on items at the auction.

  • You will have the opportunity to earn your 'team' points. There will be five teams in 7th grade. We will explain what this is all about.
