Birthdays are very special! In class we acknowledge student birthdays on, or as near to, the big day as possible!
Celebrating in Class - If your child would like to celebrate their birthday in class, there are several ways to do that! A few ideas include a family member being a guest reader, playing a game or leading the class in making a simple craft. Or, if your schedule does not allow you to be with us in the classroom, feel free to send in a small trinket for your child to share with his or her classmates. This could be a pencil, bookmark or stickers, for example.
Summer Birthdays - Does your child have a summer birthday? Not a problem! Feel free to choose another day during the school year to celebrate. If not, we will acknowledge summer birthdays in June.
Please note that due to the District's Wellness Policy and food allergy concerns, we will have non-food celebrations.
