We love celebrating Birthdays in our class!
(Please note that due to the District's Wellness Policy and food allergy concerns, we will have non-food celebrations.)
Celebrating in Class
If your child would like to celebrate their birthday in class, there are several ways to do that!
A few ideas include a family member being a guest reader, playing a game or leading the class in making a simple craft.
Or, if your schedule does not allow you to be with us in the classroom, feel free to send in a small trinket for your child to share with his or her classmates. This could be a pencil, bookmark or stickers, for example.
Summer Birthdays
Does your child have a summer birthday? Not a problem! Feel free to choose a day in June for us to celebrate!
Birthday Invitations
Birthday invitations may only be handed out in class if ALL STUDENTS in the class are invited. If you are only inviting a few students from the class, please mail the invitations. I am not permitted to give out personal information (email or address) for invitations. For this reason, I suggest all parents include their information in our Barley Sheaf School PTO Directory in the fall.
