This is our dog, Lady. She is a seven-year-old pitbull that we rescued two years ago after her owner passed away. She loves to play in the sprinkler, ride on the lawn-mower, and has a huge obsession with stuffed animals.
I live in Lawrence, New Jersey, with my husband, Osvaldo. We just celebrated seven years of marriage! We enjoy going to diners and getting ice cream. On the weekends, I go to work with him to learn more about his roofing business.
I completed a one-week Summer Teacher Institute in Colonial Williamsburg to expand my knowledge of the Colonial Era! I cannot wait to share my new Information with my students.

We were lucky enough to get to see the archives where George Washington's personal library and ledgers were located.
We spent a day at the Treasury Building and then were shown the White House! The Secret Service gave an amazing tour and showed us the inner workings!
I am so lucky to travel to Costa Rica every summer to spend time with my husband's family.

I transferred to New Jersey City University and switched my major to Elementary Education with a concentration in History.
I graduated from college in 2013 and have worked in an educational setting ever since.

Unit Overview: Ever since their first encounter with Europeans, the experiences, cultures, and histories of Indigenous Americans have been misrepresented. This unit challenges students to explore a wide range of diverse sources to form a deeper understanding of the rich and varied cultures of our country’s Indigenous American peoples in the past and present.
