Middle School is a time for students to grow an honest sense of work ethic to be displayed inside and outside of the classroom and at home. Below is an outline of the expectations that I have for my students and that I hope to instill in them by the end of the school year.
Responsibility
Being responsible means coming to school and class prepared with all materials, CHARGED Chromebook, and completed homework.Â
Accountability
Being accountable mean taking ownership of your responsibilities and mistakes and making an effort to learn from those mistakes.
Curiosity
Being curious means keeping an open mind when interacting with people, learning new information, and applying that new information to look at the world differently. Students should be ready to ask questions and make mistakes within the safety of the classroom.
Communication
Being clear at communication means that you inform your teacher of any issues AHEAD of class or an upcoming due date using email or in person conversations. Also, clear communication means that you speak RESPECTFULLY to teachers and classmates alike offering the same respect that you expect.
Confidence
Being confident means to advocate for yourself letting others know what you need to be successful academically and emotionally.
Punctuality
Being punctual means to show up ON TIME to school, class, and afterschool clubs/sports.
Organized
Being organized means to keep track of your materials (at home and at school), keep track of your assignments (classwork and homework), and keep your spaces clean (desk, locker, backpack, bedroom) so that you can easily find the things you need to be successful.
