Checking Out Library Materials

• 5 items out at a time

  • We will hold books for a week to allow for items to be returned if needed

• Loans are for 1 month

• Renew for another month if no one is waiting for it

  • through your Destiny account or at the library with the item

• HOLDS - you can request books through Destiny to be delivered to your ELA classroom

• There are no fines or late fees unless a book is damaged or lost

What can students check out?

• Books - fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels & reference

• eBooks & Digital audiobooks

  • used through Destiny or Sora

• Magazines

• Playaways

  • students must have a contract on file with us to checkout playaways - contracts are available in the LMC

• Students may NOT checkout CDs & DVDs

What can students do in the LMC?

• Browse & checkout books

• Read

• Do school work

• Work with a group

• Other activities as approved by LMC staff

Passes will be limited when classes

are scheduled in the library

Behavior Expectations

• Treat others, classes, and library materials with respect

• Clean up after yourself before leaving

• If something bad happens to something you checked out or were using in the library please see library staff as soon as possible

  • There is no punishment, but you may be asked to replace it or make another arrangement

Passes to visit from Study Hall/Advisory

• • Request a pass in the LMC during HOMEROOM

    • You will receive a paper pass to show your study hall teacher
