Practicing Letter Tiles
This is a video of one of our friends practicing her letter tiles with Mrs. Anderson. You can practice with your child at home just like this. Some questions to ask are "what letter is this?" and "what sound does the letter make?" Please make sure your child responds with "uppercase....., lowercase......, or the sound with the movement we do in school. Thank you!
Practicing Sight Word Cards
This is a video of one of our friends practicing the sight word cards. These words are words that are frequently found in stories written at the Kindergarten level. You can use the cards like flashcards or you can choose to lay them upside down like in the video. Remember this is just practice and these are meant to be sight words. Sight words are words you can read fluently and quickly. If you child doesn't know if within 3 seconds, tell them. Allow them to repeat you and move on.
