Education/Experience: I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston–Downtown and my Master's in School Counseling from Lamar University. After several years in education as a middle school teacher, I'm excited to support students in a new role by helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
My why: I believe every student deserves to have someone in their corner who sees their potential, listens without judgment, and reminds them that their story isn't over. My goal is to create a safe space where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Family/Fun: When I'm not at school, you'll probably find me spending time with my son and or 2 dogs, reading a good book, training for my next 5K, or finding any excuse to nap.

Education/Experience:
I graduated from Georgetown College in Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I taught second and third grade for six years before attending Lamar University to pursue a masters degree in Professional School Counseling. This will be my first year at Wortham and my first year as a School Counselor! I am so excited to start this new journey.
My why:
My personal philosophy is to advocate for all students by fostering positive relationships, building resilience, and helping them develop the skills needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom. I strive to have a collaborative partnership among students, families, educators, and the community to promote student success.
Family/Fun:
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing outside with my wife, Alex and our son Jameson, and walking my dog Norman! A fun fact about me is I completed an Ironman Triathlon.
