About Me

Greetings Vandeventer Vikings!

I am delighted to have the privilege of being your nurse. I know for certain what a great school Vandeventer is as my son once walked the hallways of this campus! I am looking forward to meeting all of you and would like to share with you a little bit about me. 

  I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Business degree in Marketing and began a career in Advertising.  After taking some time off to stay home with our son, I decided to change careers after my Dad received a lung transplant.  Upon watching how the healthcare teams took care of my parent, I decided to pursue a career in healthcare.  I graduated from Texas Women’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked as a cardiac nurse in the hospital.  I have been a school nurse in Dallas ISD prior to joining Frisco ISD. I take my job as a nurse seriously as making sure children are well both physically and mentally is paramount to their success in and out of the classroom. 

  I live in Frisco with my husband, Shawn and our son Robert, who is entering his Senior year at Texas Tech University. In our free time, we enjoy traveling, trying out different tapas restaurants, exercising,  game nights, and of course making trips to LUBBOCK!  Thank you for allowing me to be your nurse. I am honored to be part of this campus.  Feel free to come see me as my door will always be open!
