Hello Third Grade!

I am happy to be starting a new school year with your third grader. I cannot wait to meet all the students!  We will have a great time diving deep into stories - bringing them to life in our class.  I look forward to working with all of you parents as well and believe we are a team when it comes to supporting your child's education.  Please reach out to me at any time and for any reason.  This year will be my 5th year at Vaughn and my 15th year over all.  Before teaching in Frisco,  I had been in Ector County ISD and Plano ISD.

My amazing husband, Mike, and I have been married for 25 years.  We have three kids.  Claire is a senior at Wakeland.  She plays cello in the school orchestra.  My twin boys are Bryce and Nolan. They are starting ninth grade at Wakelan.  Bryce has played baseball, but this year he will be joining the theater tech class.  Nolan loves to ride his bike and play video games.  This summer brought sad news to our family with the passing of our beloved dog, Pepper.  She was one crazy Shepherd/Lab Mix, and many of her antics will find their way into stories I share with the class.  As a family we are active in our church and love to have game nights, watch movies, and travel.  Some places we love to go are the beach, national parks, or the mountains for snow skiing. This summer we went to New York City and hit museums, a show, and many other sights.

I am eager to learn more about each of you and your families.  It's going to be a great year!
