Hello Third Grade Scott Family!

I am Taylor Cortez and I am so excited to be teaching my first year at Scott Elementary. I graduated from The University of North Texas with my bachelors in Education. Last year I started my masters in teaching at The University of North Texas and will graduate in May 2026. 

I am originally from New Braunfels, Texas. I attended middle school and some of high school in New Braunfels. I then moved to Prosper, Texas in 2016. I graduated from Prosper High School in 2018, and started my college journey at Collin College. I have both of my parents who live in the Prosper area and one sister in college. Sam attends Tarleton State University and is apart of their soccer program. I am most excited to be attending her games in the late fall.

When I'm not at school you can usually find me hanging out with my Leopard Gecko, at the gym, at church, shopping, or just relaxing at home.
