Hello and Welcome to Fourth Grade!
My name is Jesika Parikh, and I’m so excited to kick off another amazing school year at Talley Elementary, teaching 4th grade Math!
This is my 14th year in Frisco ISD (I know, I don’t look that old, right?), and while I spent a year as Title 1 tutor and 10 years teaching 1st grade, this will be my third year in 4th grade—and let me tell you, the math problems are bigger, and the jokes are way better. I’m loving it!
My husband, Vinay, and I have been married for 27 wonderful years. We have two awesome boys: Saagar, our oldest, is a proud Purdue graduate, and Shiven, our youngest, is off to start his college adventure at Arizona State University—which means our house is now suspiciously quiet and the Wi-Fi suddenly works better.
I earned my teaching degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU), and I’ve always had a passion for learning. When I’m not lesson planning or grading math journals, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, traveling somewhere new, or enjoying time with friends and family (preferably with snacks involved).
I truly believe that learning should be fun, meaningful, and full of curiosity. My goal is to help every student feel confident, challenged, and celebrated this year. Let’s make it a fantastic one!
Looking forward to a great year together!
