Mrs. Ganus

Hello! My name is Shawny Ganus, and I’m excited to be a 3rd-grade Literacy teacher at Tadlock Elementary. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English from the University of North Texas. This year marks my 21st year in education and my 12th year in Frisco ISD.

My husband, Chris, works in IT with Deloitte Consulting. We have two grown children who have both finished college and are now working and building their professional careers. Our daughter is currently pursuing her MBA and is set to graduate from Texas A&M this December.

At home, we enjoy the company of our two dogs—Lucy, a miniature dachshund, and Nova, a Siberian Husky mix. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing pickleball, reading, and cheering on my favorite sports teams—the Texas Aggies, Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Stars!

I’m grateful to be part of Frisco ISD and look forward to another wonderful year. I am excited to meet my new group of 3rd graders and help them grow as lifelong learners!
