Frisco ISD Homework Policy: 

Homework assignments can be an extension of unfinished classroom work or a review of previously taught skills. Parents are not expected to instruct their children. They are expected to assist if the need arises. Students should understand what they are to do before they leave school for the day and be able to complete the assignment in a relatively short period of time. Drill-type activities are ones that should be completed quickly. Elementary school students should spend no more than 10 minutes per grade level on homework, including nightly reading, (i.e. first grade 10 minutes, second grade 20 minutes, third grade 30 minutes, etc.). If homework routinely takes more time than this, students or parents are encouraged to talk to the teacher.
