Scott Elementary School is excited to announce a new class to our Specials rotation called Connections, which will replace Health and Wellness.
Through instruction, games, and interaction with each other, students will practice many social emotional skills that will strengthen their citizenship abilities.
Hey y'all! My name is Crystal McCoy, and I am Scott Elementary's Connections teacher. I'm so excited to begin another great school year with your kiddos!
A little bit about me, I'm originally from Chicago, IL, but I moved to Frisco after I separated from the Navy in 2019. Oh yes, I'm a veteran 🙂 I spent my Navy career aboard the USS George HW Bush Aircraft Carrier as a Reactor Engineer working on diesel engines. Which means, I love to build, turn wrenches, valves, and get my hands dirty! I also enjoy working out, eating, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
I graduated in December 2024 with my Master of Science in Education and Teaching. Now I attend Texas A&M Commerce where I am getting my PhD in School Psychology. I really enjoy exploring the landscape of childhood education from previously unseen angles with the passion of understanding more about children and the sociocultural communities they inhabit. I always remind myself that you can NEVER learn too much!
