Hi Scott Families!

My name is Shanae McCoy. I am Native American (Cherokee) and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I attended Oklahoma State University (GO POKES!) for my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. This is my 11th year teaching kindergarten in Frisco ISD and my 14th overall year of teaching.

I have a wonderful husband named Zach and we have 4 kids. Miles who is in 5th grade at Scott and Maddox who is in 3rd grade and Miko who will turn 3 in November and our baby girl, Autumn, who turned 1 in June!

We spend a lot of time together playing board games, watching sports and movies, and going to church activities. We also love playing with our dog, Swiss (5 year old Goldendoodle).

I believe in working with families and having open communication in order to become a team to help our students to be successful. I am so excited to be a part of your team and I can’t wait to spend the school year learning and growing with your students!
