The National Art Honor Society is a program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The program supports members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service and bring art education to the attention of the school and community. We have a thriving group of over 80 students in our NAHS, which meets together at least once a month. NAHS also provides service opportunities for students. REQUIREMENT: Students in NAHS must be enrolled in an art class or have taken art in high school to apply for NAHS. CATE classes to do not count toward the art class requirement for NAHS.
The Art Club at RHS is a club made for artists of all skill levels, providing an opportunity for those who want to grow and improve in their artistic skills through various activities such as club-wide projects, service opportunities, and more. There are currently over 30 members in Art Club, ranging from beginners to those who have done art for years.

REQUIREMENT: Any student at RHS can participate
The Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) is a yearly art competition that provides students the opportunity to show their work and get valuable feedback from art professionals. Each work of art recieves a rating, based on creativity, technical skills and the student's ability to communicate their use of the elements and principles of art and design concepts. This year's VASE competition will be held on February 24, 2024 at Memorial High School in Frisco. More information will be communicated later in the school year as to how students can participate.
