Arrival

As you know, the safety of our staff and students is our top priority. Here are a few quick, very important reminders about morning procedures:

1. Students should always be dropped off in the carpool loop around the back of the school. This is the safest drop off for students in the morning. Please refrain from parking along Cypress Hill Drive during morning arrival and allowing children to run across the Cypress Hill Drive and the campus' front driveway - this is a safety concern as it is difficult for the bus drivers and other cars using the driveway to see children attempting to cross the driveway between the parked cars.
2. The front loop is for FISD busses only. Please note the cones that block the drive and do not drive around them. Keeping this lane clear for busses only helps to keep our students safe at morning drop off.
3. Cars should enter the carpool line one single car lane at a time. Please be patient in letting other cars into the single line. This minimizes the likelihood of accidents and again keeps our students safe.
4. Use caution at both crosswalks so that students can cross safely.
5. Do not drop off students in front of the building (neither the spot from Rockhill to the stop sign or the area between the front loop drives). Doing so greatly slows down traffic and poses an increased threat as students pass through the bus line.
6. Students dropped off after 7:45 may use the front bus loop, but parents will need to accompany their child to the front office for a tardy pass. Please bring a photo ID in these cases to gain access to the front office.
7. All students should be dropped off in the carpool loop around the back of the school.

We recognize that dropping off your child in the morning may take some time, but with everyone following the procedures above the process goes smoothly and much more quickly. As a rule of thumb, please allow 5-10 minutes or morning drop off depending on the time of arrival.

Cross Walk Safety Reminder

Students: Please remind your child(ren) to use the designated cross walk area where the crossing guards are located. Cross walks are located at (Blueberry Hill & Cypress Hill), (Notting Hill & Cypress Hill), and (Rockhill Pkwy & Cypress Hill).

Parents: It is important for all parents that walk their children to school to use the designated cross walk area where the crossing guards are located. We know your child(ren) are safe crossing with you, however we are the models for all children and when children see adults crossing in other location besides the cross walk areas they think it is safe to cross in these locations.
