Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Kelsey Newman and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This is my 15th year in education and my 10th year at Isbell. Before becoming a teacher, I studied at the University of North Texas. I have experience teaching all subjects in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.

Outside of school, I am married to my wonderful husband, Bryan. We live in McKinney, TX with our two boys, Quentin and Mathis. I love having my kiddos here with me at Isbell! Quentin will be in 3rd grade this year, and Mathis is joining us this year in Kindergarten. As a family, we love to travel, spend time outdoors, stay active, and play with our pups: Cooper, Ranger, and Waffle. I am an avid reader and love to snuggle up with a good book!

My absolute favorite part of teaching is building a positive relationship with my students where everyone feels like they belong in our classroom. It is my hope that you will find that your child's love of learning continues to grow throughout this school year as we take on new challenges and opportunities.
