The vision of the Hunt Middle School Counseling Department is to provide an equitable supportive environment that instills core values which maximize our students’ potential to become considerate, respectful, resilient lifelong learners and future-ready leaders of the world.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Hunt Middle School Counseling Department is to instill our school values of Husky PRIDE (Prepared, Respect, Integrity, Determined, Engaged) by providing a comprehensive and developmental counseling program that promotes academic achievement, college/career readiness, and personal/social growth for all learners.

What do we do?

A School Counselor is a person who is trained as a mental health professional with a focus on working with students in the school setting. The primary goal is for school counselors to provide services to students that will allow them to be successful within the school setting by reducing the issues that may be preventing them from learning.
